"Appearance of bag was better than what pictures portray. Quality better than expected. Attention to detail was an apparent. Customer care response was very responsive prior to purchase. Emails answered early first available business day. Mild improvements: when suitcase lies flat and open on hard surface case tilts around handle it lies in — should have some either stabilizing bumpers to prevent tilting OR add more pocket holder(s) similar to one already between handle to prevent rocking. Consider bumper style that could add accessories like: retractable cup holder, small toiletry holder for short layovers between flights = freshen up, home or iPad holder for viewing, hooks for bags (duty free purchases or lunch etc). The bumper simply accept extra accessories while you solve rocking/ stability issue."

"Got the Expandable Baseline Spinner Set - Used it 6-10 times this past year. Best luggage set I’ve owned so far!!! Makes organized packing so much easier & the expandable feature comes in so handy after all the holiday shopping. Love it! I wish they sold luggage covers too. Reason being I love to care for my things and don’t want my 3-piece looking new for as long as I can. The only drawback to owning these is that they’re a hit with the wife and she’s been using these non-stop. Her usage is a bit rough & I have to give my Briggs & Riley a mini spa session every-time they travel with her. Don’t think twice - Buy these! "This is now one of my favorite suitcases! It's so well constructed - sturdy handle and the wheels easily revolve in every direction. One thing I really like is that there are so many different zippered pockets that it's easy to stay organized. I would normally put small miscellaneous items in a packing cube in the main part of the suitcase, but with this suitcase I can put them in the pockets - better organized and then the suitcase holds more. I've always been a person to check my luggage but I used this as carry on for a 5-night trip with no problem. I didn't even need to have it expanded! Love this suitcase."

15 Years Later, Still a Briggs & Riley Loyalist

"I’ve owned a Briggs & Riley bag for about 15 years, so when it was finally time for a new carry-on, I already knew the quality and longevity I could expect from the brand. This new carry-on has only reinforced why I’ve remained so loyal. It is incredibly lightweight and easy to maneuver. The four wheels glide seamlessly over multiple types of terrain, and even when fully packed, the bag feels balanced and effortless to move. And the plum color is absolutely gorgeous!! The Smart Packing Technology may be my favorite feature. I recently took the carry-on to New York for a shopping trip and somehow managed to comfortably repack everything I had brought AND fit two new pairs of shoes in their original boxes for the trip home. I was impressed by how much I could fit without feeling like I was wrestling the suitcase closed. There’s also a funny sense of camaraderie among Briggs & Riley travelers. Over the years, I’ve gotten knowing nods of acknowledgment from pilots and fellow travelers carrying their own Briggs & Riley bags. It really does feel like an “if you know, you know” travel club. Briggs & Riley is an investment, but after 15 years with my first piece, I already know it’s one worth making. "First and foremost the lifetime warranty is what sold me on this luggage and justified the price. I am increasing in my travel and want something that is durable but everything breaks so the warranty is going to come in handy later. Also the smart storage and collapsible feature of the carry on has helped my family decrease on checked bags so that also credits towards the price of the luggage. All in all, I don’t see how I would regret the purchase with the lifetime warranty and the reliability the Briggs & Riley luggage has come to known for."

Why it feels heavier than expected That weight isn’t accidental—it comes from a few design choices: Ballistic nylon + reinforced structure for long-term durability The CX compression system, which adds hardware but lets you pack more and compress down A wider body design, giving you more usable space than typical narrow carry-ons In short: it’s built to last and maximize capacity, not to be ultralight. You might want to go with a lighter model (for example, polycarbonate versions around ~8.5 lbs like the Sympatico line ), or even a two-wheel carry-on, which typically weighs less.
With many airlines starting to crack down on carry-on luggage sizes, will this pass an airline that requires 22” x 14” x 9”, since it’s 21” x 15” x 9”?
