Works great but will it last?

"Im a crew member so I use and abuse my bags. I’m in the air about 170 hours per month. So that being said; I’m worried that the clip that holds the strap together will not last. I LOVE IT and if it just means eventually I buy a new one it’s worth it, but I feel like this should be a metal clasp. That’s all! Other than that it’s great!"

"I bought the strap as a backup but I don’t think I’ll need it. A friend warned me that he has lost his strap numerous times because it was not a tight fit and it would slip off. His bag is older and my new bag has had no problems with the strap falling off. It works great and has enough range that I can use it with a bag that has short or longer handles."

"The strap comes unhooked entirely too easily. As a pilot it constantly gets lost in scanners or loading bags into the van if you don't keep a watchful eye. I have lost two in the last 3 months. ."

Not the original strap length

"Not the original strap length for the baseline carry-on. Has a lot of excess and drags. Gets lost very easily, already on my third strap. Wish it was stitched to the front pocket like the old one. Love the easy-release button but it's worthless since I have to pickup the entire bag that's strapped to the roller in order to not loose the strap."

"I need a luggage strap for work and this one simply doesn’t cut it. I love my B&R suitcase but this strap is basically useless as currently designed. Please design a J-hook style strap with less strap length."

How do you attach the strap to your bags?: Good Afternoon, Thank you for contacting Briggs & Riley. The bag must have a receptacle on the front top of the bag to be able to use the smartlink strap. If you call 877.745.3978 with your style number they can assist you if your bag can use one and which one is compatible.
